Report as Missing

When you no longer have a game invoiced to your organization, it is to be reported on a B2 as Missing.   Traditionally, an organization is required to audit the game whereby all prizes are awarded and no unsold tickets remain.  This will result in the game being taxed to its highest extent possible as part of the tax return.

NOTE: It is recommended that you contact MN Revenue prior to reporting lost or missing games to verify their desired method for reporting.

Assuming you are reporting the missing game and ultimately responsible for the full tax liability, please follow these steps:

For Pulltabs, Tipboards, Sportsboards, PaddleWheel games:

  • Enter a Gaming Deposit equal to the game’s Ideal Net using non-gambling funds (assuming your organizations chooses to do so).

  • Audit the game entering the following.

    • Game In Play date

    • Game Removed from Play (date game is discovered to be missing)

    • Enter 0 (zero) Unsold Tickets

    • For the Cash Prizes, enter the value of the Ideal Prize

  • If you are choosing not to deposit the game using non-gaming funds, then your cash short in going to be significantly high.  If this is acceptable to your organization, then check the box for GAME CLOSED UNDER BANK – NO DEPOSIT.  Enter $0.00 in the field.


For Paddle Ticket games:

  • Using non-Gaming funds, a deposit must be made to your bank account for the expected Cash In Hand value for each serial number in the packet.  

    • For $1 per ticket games, the deposit should be $15 per ticket

    • For $2 per ticket games, the deposit should be $30 per ticket

  • Document your deposit on the Gaming Deposit screen creating a Session Date on the date the game was identified as missing.

  • Audit the session by entering the following.

    • Game In Play date

    • Game Removed from Play (date game is discovered to be missing)

    • Enter 0 (zero) Unsold Tickets

    • For the Cash Prizes, enter $15 for $1 per serial number packets, or $30 for $2 per serial number packets
