A calendar raffle is simply a single raffle event. The only difference is that the prizes are awarded over the course of many future weeks/months. For example, the total raffle prizes might be $3000, but a $500 cash prize is being awarded each of the next 6 months. Therefore, the complete $3000 must be entered as part of the current audit of the raffle. In other words, all prizes awarded (now or in the future) associated to a calendar raffle must be reported as part of the raffle audit in the month the first raffle drawing takes place (which is entered as the Session Date).
But because the remaining prizes are not going to be technically awarded until later in the year, the value of the future-awarded prizes must be entered against the raffle audit and then applied to the Schedule F Line 17 to be awarded in the future.

To do this, follow these steps:
For Cash Prizes:
Enter the raffle deposits and audit the session with a session date of the first calendar raffle drawing.
Select BANKING and go to EXPENSES >General Expenses Tab: and complete the transaction as shown below:
Pay to the Order of: CASH Date: Session Date Pay Type: Direct DebitCheck Prize: Raffle: Enter the amount of the future raffle drawing prizes scheduled to be awarded in future months. (always use Check Prize: Raffle even if Merch Prizes are being awarded)
On the same transaction, a negative value of the same amount must be entered and associated to the category Unpaid calendar Raffle Prizes.
The result of this action adds the future awarded prizes to the Schedule F line dedicated to calendar raffles.

For Merchandise Prizes:
1. Enter in Merchandise Prizes into CGME.
On the Dashboard: Click on the box: Merchandise Prizes. Enter the merchandise just like normal that you are going to award as you recieve it.
